Harvest Moon GBC 2

Story

The Mayor of a small defunct village determines that to stay alive, they must use the old abandoned farmland outside of town and turn it into an amusement park. Before this happens though, a brave farmer volunteers to take the rundown land and turn it into a productive farm. The Mayor gives the farmer 3 years to accomplish this, else the village is doomed.

You could play as Girl (Sara) or Boy (Pete) in this game.

At first day talk to every villager to get tools for your farm.

• Spring 01 - New Years Festival
• Spring 15 - Cherry Cup: Horse race you can participate in. Winner price for Year 2 is 10,000 G the second year, 20,000 G the third year. You get photo for Photo book.
• Spring 25 - Flower Viewing Festival: Will, Doctor, Mayor, and Ken are in Town Square looking at Cherry Blossoms. You get photo for Photo book.
• Summer 07 - Star Festival: Held at Town Square on 06:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Rosie, Chet, Chocola, and Daisy are out viewing the stars. Rosie will tell you history of the Star Festival if you talk to her twice.
• Fall 10 - Moon Viewing Festival: Held at Mountain on night. Mary will be there viewing the moon. You get photo for Photo book.
• Fall 15 - Daisy Stakes: Horse race you can participate in. Winner receives 10 Napa seeds.
• Fall 25 - Harvest Festival: Bring Milk / Butter / Cheese to complete Rosie stew. Then talk to Mayor and you'll all go dancing in Town Square. You get photo for Photo book.
• Winter 14 - Giving Thanks: Rosie (for boys) or Bill (for girls) will come by and give you a cake from Chocola / Will.
• Winter 25 - Holy Night Festival: Held at Church. Pray to Harvest Goddess then she give you 5 selections to pray for, Health (makes you healty), Wealth (she won't be too pleased with you), Sunshine (next day will sunny), Happiness (happiness point goes up), and Friendship (she deepen your friendship, but doesn't say with who).

• Church Open: On Year 1 Spring 15 Cain will arrive to open the Church.
• Chet and Rosie's Wedding : Occur at Year 3 Summer 1. On Year 3 Spring 20 Chet comes by and invites you to his wedding. On Summer 1, head over to Church and watch the wedding. After the wedding Rosie leaves Chocola in charge of Restaurant.
• Snowball Fight: Occur at Year 3 Winter first Sunday (not snowing). Advice make sure you finish all your chores. Go to Town Square and you'll almost get hit by a snowball. Bill and Daisy are there throwing snowballs around. Daisy invites you to join them, Will and Chocola also show up. You get photo for Photo book.
• Going Deaf: Occur at Year 4 Spring. One morning you will wake up and not hear anything. Go to Clinic and Doctor will give you some medicine that will fix it the next day. If you don't go to Clinic and remain deaf for a few days, you'll eventually stay in bed one day and your hearing will return the next moring.
• Great Whetstone: Bill will come by and tell Will has fallen off a cliff and needs your help to carry him back to Clinic. Agree to help him and the two of you will arrive at Clinic. Doctor tells you that Will is okay but he keeps mentioning about the Great Whetstone. Bill is curious what his brother talking about and thinks the answer might be up on Mountain, but he has to return to his shop. Go to Mountain then return to Tool Shop. He'll tell you he found what his brother was talking about and as a reward he tells you to return in 3 days for your Super Sickle.
• Hurricane / Typhoon / Heavy Snow warning: Occur around Summer 11, Summer 21, Winter 01, and Winter 20. To avoid bad weather see Exploit Ken at secret section.
• Ken's Melons: Occur at Summer and planting a lot of Melon (around 12 bags). When your Melons are ready for harvest, Ken come by and ask if you willing to give him 20 of them. If you tell him yes, he'll ask you to put 20 Melons in shipping bin by 05:00 PM and don't put anything else in the bin. If you do correctly, he'll come back at 05:00 PM and give you 5,000 G. If you put less he still pay you but only 150 G per Melon. If you put more or also add other items, you'll only get paid 5,000 G for 20 Melons.
• Chocola's Mushrooms: Occur at Fall. Chocola wants you to meet her in the Mountain to hunt for Mushrooms. Pick up 3 Mushrooms that are scattered and give them to her. She says if you stop by the Restaurant she'll make you Mushroom Rice. A week later there will be a message on the Bulliten Board from Chocola. For the next 10 days she'll sell Mushroom Rice at Restaurant.
• Animal Graveyard: When your animals die you go to graveyard and have a ceremony with Cain and Chet. Then Chet will scold you for not taking care of your sick animal. You also lose the whole day by attending the ceremony.
• Hot tubbing with Daisy: When you go to Flower Shop it may closed even though it's not Sunday. Go to mountain, Daisy is at Hot Springs and stay there all day. She asks if you want to join her for a bit. If you agree she'll go into the Hot Springs and the two of you can just chill out and relax.
• Super Ax: Friends with Daisy. When you enter Flower Shop Daisy will tell you she found an ax and give you the ax, which is actually the Super Ax.
• Super Hammer: After upgrade your house once, go to Ken and he will give you the Super Hammer.
• Super Hoe: Use your Hoe until breaks then go talk to Bill. He'll take your Hoe to repair it in 3 days. Or wait until your birthday and hopefully Bill will come by and offer to upgrade either your Hoe or Sickle as a gift.
• Super Sickle: See Great Whetstone event. Or wait until your birthday and hopefully Bill will come by and offer to upgrade either your Hoe or Sickle as a gift.
• The Ghost: Bill will come and tell you that there's been a report of a ghost. Head to Town Square and see Ken and Mayor there. Mayor said that he put a notice about the ghost on Bulliten Board. Ken says he really got scared and leaves to return to his shop. Talk to Mayor again and he'll ask you to go see Cain. Cain wants you to ask Ken the details of his story. Ken will say specific keywords you want to make note of. Return to Church, Cain wants you to retell the story like Ken said it.
• Time Capsule: Mary will come by and asks to meet her up in the Mountain by the Hot Spring. After a short conversation with you she'll get the idea to write secret messages and bury them in the ground. You can choose from "I want to build a great farm!", "I love Mary!!", "a secret message", "I'm hungry...", a bunch of paw prints, "Harvest Moon 2!", and "I want to play the next version!". She'll write her message too and then tell you that she is going to bury it right there. She wants you to return to that spot in 3 years and not to forget.

• Music: After 3 year mark music/sound test option available at Church. There are 19 music tracks and 33 sound effects to listen to.
• Exploit Ken: When you check TV and expected to have bad weather the next day, ask Ken to built something. The next morning instead of bad weather you'll have Ken waiting for you at front door. Just tell him you changed your mind about building something and he'll return.
• Power Berries: Located randomly throughout the farm. Found while tillting your fields or pastures.
• Treassure Map: One day when you enter Library, Mary will tell you while she was cleaning she found a map. The Treasure Map is jumbled up and Mary asks you to help her straighten it back out. Once you have completed the map Mary gives it to you. Open up your Q&A and now there's now Question 24 there with question "Where is the treasure.....?" and answer "The treasure is buried under the flower that doesn't wither". Investigate flower box at Flower Shop. There's a note says if you want to find the real treasure, check the Q&A section again. Now there's a Question 25 with question "What is the Real Treasure Map?" and answer "Superimpose the two maps and... Here's a hint: the Trade Menu". Trade with your friend who also have the treasure map. After trading open your Q&A again, now there's Question 26 with question "Where is the real treasure?" and answer "It is buried between the tree and the L3 cliff from the bounty of the mountain". L3 is referring level 3 of the Mountain, area by the Hot Spring and "bounty" would be foraging items. Head up to the Mountain and check the tree next to the stump. The treasure is Miracle Glove, tools for shipping items with hands.

Trading

You can trade items from Mary's computer (using Gameboy gamelink cable). You can also give "gift" without receiving anything back in return.

• Animals: Trade (or gift) a Chicken to become Golden Chicken. If you want the Golden Chicken back, you have to relink (it won't be golden if you immediately trade it back). The only restriction is trading Sheep (need to have Sheep Pen).
• Seeds: You can only trade one seed at a time.
• Bugs/Fish: Trading bugs or fish doesn't remove the picture out of your own, it just adds into theirs.
• Pets: You cannot "gift" your pets, just swap with your friends.
• Combine Maps: In order to complete the Treasure Map, you have to combine the map pieces with a friend who also has part of the Treasure Map.

Mini Games

• Mole Bash: After you uncover a few moles you have the option of playing a "Wack 'a Mole" game. You have 50 seconds to smash as many moles as you can. The 4-group holes assigned to directional pad and the 2-group holes assigned to A and B buttons. If you smash all 100 moles in 50 seconds you're declared as "Mole Bash Master".
• Horse Racing: After racing at Horse Race, the mini game are available at Tool Shop. Press A and B button alternately to move forward. If you false start twice you automatically lose.
• Puzzle Slide: After you unscramble the Treasure Map from Mary, the mini game are available at Tool Shop. Move the block with diagonal pad, press Select to see the picture supposed look, and press Start to give up.
