Harvest Moon for Girl

Story

Travelling by yourself on a ship, you met up with a strange man. This man spoke on and on to you about how great life is. He touched you with his sayings, but soon after, a storm blew up and left you shipwrecked. The next thing you knew, you were lying in a bed. It appears as though someone came and helped you to Zack's house, though you don't know who is was. After explaining to Zack and the mayor that you have no place to go, it's decided that you will live at an old farm in Mineral Town. But the question remains: who was that who helped you on the beach?

Though the story line is very different, the game play is the same as it was in BtN. However, the role that you play in certain festivals (Goddess Festival, Winter Thanksgiving Festival, Moon Viewing Festival, etc.) has changed, giving a you fresh perspective on life in Mineral Town. The daily speech of most people has changed, and the decoration inside your house has more of a feminine touch to it.

• Dog: Pick up your dog everyday to raise it Love level
• Horse: You can get a horse in two ways. First way, go to Yodel Ranch in the first spring and Barley will give you a Horse for free. After 1 year, Barley will come back to see how it's doing, and take it away if it doesn't like you enough. Second way, when your pasture is large enough, Barley will give you a horse if you don't have one.
• Chicken: To get Chicken just buy at Poultry Farm, or just befriend Popuri and wait until she comes and gives you an egg. To get more Chicken you could put an Egg into the incubator and it will hatch after a few days. If your chicken wins the Chicken Festival it will lay Golden Eggs.
• Sheep: Buy at Yodel Ranch, Wool is worth a lot. If you win Sheep Festival your Sheep will produce Golden Wool.
• Cow: Buy at Yodel Ranch. A Cow who wins the Cow Festival will produce Golden Milk.

• Ann: Birthday at Summer 17. Your rival for Cliff's affection. Ann is Doug's daughter. Works at Inn.
• Anna: Birthday at Fall 23. Anna is Basil's wife and Mary's mother. Dislike Flowers.
• Barley: Birthday at Spring 17. Barley is Joanna's father of and May's grandfather. Owner of Yodel Farm.
• Basil: Birthday at Summer 11. Basil is Anna's husband and Mary's father. Works as botanist.
• Carter: Birthday at Fall 20. Works as pastor.
• Doug: Birthday at Winter 11. Doug is Ann's father. Owner of Inn.

Marriage isn't required and the game ends on your wedding day, but it's good to get married anyway. Interesting to note that the guy who saved you won't admit it until AFTER you've married him.

• Cliff: Birthday at Summer 6. Rival is Ann. Live at Inn. Works at Vineyard (if you help him get the job). Like Apples, Spa-poached Eggs, Eggs, Milk.
• Kai: Birthday at Summer 22. Rival is Popuri. Live at Inn. Works at Kai's Seaside Lodge. Like Eggs, Corn, Bread, Tomatoes, Pizza. Just come at Summer.
• Rick: Birthday at Fall 27. Rival is Karen. Rick is Lillia's son and Popuri's older brother. Works at Poultry Farm. Like egg-cooked dish, Eggs, Spa-Poached Eggs, Wine.
• Gray: Birthday at Winter 6. Rival is Mary. Gray is Saibara's grandson. Works at Blacksmith. Like Ores, Medicine, Eggs, bread.
• Doctor: Birthday at Fall 17. Rival is Elli. Works at Clinic. Like Poisonous Mushroom, Herbs, Wine.

• Spring 08 - Goddess Festival
  This festival celebrates the coming of spring. The girls in town all dress up in costumes and perform a dance for the villagers. The day before the festival, the guy who likes you the most will come to your house at noon to ask to escort you. However, if Kai likes you the most, then it's tough luck: he's only there during the summer, so you'll have to go alone or go with the guy who likes you second best.
• Spring 14 - Thanksgiving Festival
  This is a day when the guys in town show their appreciation for the hard work the girls do and give the girl some sweet. If you gave a guy some chocolate on the Winter Thanksgiving day, he'll return the favor!
• Summer 24 - Fireworks Display
  Go to the Beach, one of the guys might invite you to watch the fireworks with him.
• Fall 13 - Moon Viewing Day
  Go to the top of Mother's Hill after 06:00 PM. If you have a kitchen, go to the Supermarket and buy ingredients to make Moon View Dumplings. The guy who likes you the most will be waiting at the top of the mountain. (Once again, if it's Kai who likes you most, it will be the guy who likes you second most waiting for you.)
• Winter 14 - Winter Thanksgiving
  This is the day that woman and girls show their appreciation to the man in the village. Buy chocolate at the Supermarket and give it to the guy you like most!
• Winter 24 - Star Night Festival
  The day before, buy an invitation from Jeff. Give it to the guy whom you want to invite. Make sure that you have some stuff in your rucksack when he comes. (Wine and bread would be fine.)

Cliff

• In Year 1, Fall, when Duke asks you to help out at the vineyard, be sure to tell Cliff about it. Otherwise, he'll leave the village and never return.
• At Rose Square: Happens on a snowy day. Cliff will be standing in the middle of the square, rambling something about snow. He'll collapse, and you will automatically take him to the clinic. You'll also realize that Cliff dropped a picture of himself with his mother and sister. Give the picture to him after he's been released from t he clinic, and he will like you a lot more.
• A Talk About the Vineyard: Yellow heart, and working at the Aja Winery. Go into the house, and Cliff will be there to greet you. He'll suggest going shopping or something, when he suddenly overhears Duke and Manna talking about him. You'll eavesdrop on their conversation: they're thinking of having Cliff inherit the vineyard instead of their daughter. Cliff isn't totally sure of what to think, and he suggests going shopping another day.
• Who Does Cliff Like?: Red heart. Go into the cellar at the vineyard. Cliff will be there, and wants to show you around. He'll let you taste some wine that he made. Manna then comes in to talk to him, and somehow the conversation turns to his future. Manna wishes that he would marry Aja someday, but Cliff turns and looks at you and says he's already made up his mind.
• Mountain Rendezvous: Red heart. Go up to the Mountain Peak, late at night. Cliff will be there, talk to him. He'll talk about how much he misses his family and that he's pretty lonely. He'll also tell you that he loves you and asks if you feel the same. If you say you do it gonna lead to proposal.
• Proposal: One week after last Heart Event, Cliff will come to your house with a Blue Feather.

Doctor

• Out at the Lake: Green heart. On a Wednesday afternoon, go up to the lake on Mother's Hill. The doctor will be standing in front of the lake. He'll make some comment about the water and the fish, wondering what would happen if he tried to get a fish with his bare hands. Tell him he shouldn't, he'll catch a cold (option 1) or tell him that you'll help him (option 2). He'll like you more if you choose option 2.
• The Doctor's Past: Yellow heart. Go into the Clinic on a Wednesday. He'll invite you up to his room to chat for a little bit.
• Another Chat: Orange heart. He asked you another question. It took place during the day, in the clinic.
• The Doctor's True Love: Red heart. On a Wednesday, go to the Beach. You'll get a scene where the Doctor and Elli were fighting, and the doctor tells you that Elli is in love with him, but the Doctor is in love with you. He'll tell you that he wants to temporarily leave the town to study medicine, and wants to know if you'll come with him. Choose "I'll follow you" and he'll tell you you'll be departing with him in one week.
• Proposal: One week after last Heart Event, he will come to your house with a Blue Feather.

Gray

• In the Mines: Go into the mine and you may eventually see Gray in there. Give him a Silver Ore, and he'll pay you back sometime later by giving you a Necklace.
• A Novice: Yellow heart. Go near Blacksmith's shop is sometime between 01:00 PM and midnight, during the Fall. It seems as though Gray messed up on something, and Saibara's quite angry with him.
• At the Windmill: Orange heart. He will come one day in the Fall and ask to use your windmill.
• Recognition: Red heart. Go into the Blacksmith's shop and you'll see that Gray has finally made something that Saibara was proud of. Gray is quite glad that his grandfather has finally praised him for something, and says he was able to do it all because of you.
• Proposal: After the last Heart Event, Gray will come by with a Blue Feather.

Kai

• An Argument with Dad: Green or Yellow heart. Go into the inn, Kai would be in there, and you'll see him talking on the phone, having an argument with his father. He'll tell you that his father wants him to close down the restaurant in Mineral Town and never return, but Kai isn't willing to do that just yet.
• A Visit to your House: Yellow heart, and largest home extension. One day in Summer it will be raining. Go to the Beach, and you'll see Kai wandering around in the water under Zack's house. He'll tell you he was bored and that no one ever comes to his shop on a rainy day, anyway. He'll then ask if you can go to your house for a little while. Say yes (1st option) and the two of you will go to your home and spend the rest of the day there. This will make Kai like you a lot more.
• Your Nightmare: Red heart. When you go to bed you'll have a dream in which all of the townspeople have suddenly turned against Kai and are having some sort of trial. Everyone wants to throw him out and never let him return, but when it's your turn to speak, Kai will shout out that he loves you. Say you love him too (the first option) and you'll suddenly wake up. For some odd reason Kai will be at your house, he'll tell you that he's decided to close down his restaurant and move back to the city for good, and if you'll come with him. You'll automatically say yes, and he'll tell you to be ready by Fall 1.
• Proposal: After the last Heart Event, Kai will come by your house on Fall 1 with a Blue Feather.

Rick

• Chicken Care: Blue or Green heart and have the enlarged Chicken Coop. One day in Fall of year 1, Rick will come by to ask you to take care of five Chickens. Say yes, and take good care of them until Rick returns.
• Protecting the Chickens: Green heart. Leave your chickens outside, and one day Rick will come by and comment on how dangerous it is for chickens to be kept outside, since the wild dogs like to attack them, but how they need to be outside to have better health. You can also add that "They lay better eggs" (option 1) or "They make better meat" (option 2). Choose option 1 and Rick will like you more.
• Medicine for Lillia: Yellow heart. Go to the Clinic and Rick will be there, picking up medicine for his mother. You can either tell him that it must be tough taking care of her, but keep going (option 1) or "I hope she gets better soon" (option 2).
• At the Bar: Orange heart. Go to the bar on a night that he's there, and you'll see him and Karen standing together, talking. Go up and talk to him, and ask if you can join their group (option 1). Karen will decide to leave you two alone, and Rick will like you more.
• A Stray Dog: Red heart, when you go to sleep and your Chickens must be outside. A wild dog was eyeing your chickens, but Rick chased it away. However, it attacked Rick and hurt him in the process. Rick doesn't want to go to the Clinic, but you insist on it. So you two go to the Clinic together, where the doctor scolds Rick for risking his life to save some Chickens. Rick will say that the doctor misses the point, but how you probably know how important animals are to a farmer. Well, in the middle of the conversation, Rick will blurt out that you should marry him and run the Poultry Farm together. Say you will and Rick will be surprised but happy.
• Proposal: One week after last Heart Event, Rick will come to your house with a Blue Feather.

Cliff's Ending

Cliff: Good morning, [Name]! What I said last time was kind of sudden, and I've just learned the proper custom for this area, so I've come to propose! Please take this Blue Feather!
("Of course, thank you")
Cliff: I know we'll be happy together.
(After the wedding ceremony, in the vineyard)
Duke: This wine is so good...
Manna: Yes, but I'm only letting you drink today! Everyone, drink up! ...But, I was just thinking... Cliff seems like a really quiet guy. He seemed so shy and withdrawn... But after befriending him, I've become kind of attached to him, and he's cute! ...Um, oops, that wasn't what I meant to say...
Cliff: Let's go someplace a little more quiet.
(You nod, and you two go into the cellar.)
Cliff: Manna looks quite happy, doesn't she? (You nod)
Cliff: I've kept quiet about this until now, but... The person who saved you on the beach, was me. ...Back then, I was still searching for a place where I felt at home, and had decided to leave this village. I was about to board the ship when I heard Zack's call. I was so caught up in trying to help you, I completely forgot about my decision to leave! I think we were destined to meet each other.
(You the walk up right next to him, and Cliff gets an exclamation point above his head and turns to you.)
Cliff: I didn't mean that I tricked you or anything! Sorry!
(You shake your head, and Cliff puts his hands on your shoulders)
Cliff: You're happy, right?
(You nod, and the camera fades out.)

Doctor's Ending

Doctor: Good morning, did you sleep well last night? Today we'll be leaving the town for a little while... Oh yes. [Name], please take this.
("Of course, thank you.")
Doctor: It looks like everyone's at the church to celebrate our marriage. Well, let's go.
(After the wedding ceremony, at the Beach)
Zack: Did you finish packing your luggage?
Doctor: Yes, thank you for everything.
Zack: That's also what you said when we brought her back safely. ...but... Don't you remember?
Doctor: What is it?
Zack: When [Name] washed up on the shore. If you hadn't come just in the nick of time, she wouldn't be here today.
(An exclaimation mark appears above your head)
Zack: .........What?! You didn't tell her?! I thought for sure...
Doctor: No...
Zack: What do you mean, telling her wasn't the right thing?!
Doctor: That's not it!! (the doctor walks up to you, faces you for a second, then turns to Zack) I... couldn't tell her. If... if I thought about it... it was kind of embarrassing...!
Zack: ...........
Doctor: ..............
Zack: ............Oh.

Gray's Ending

Gray: Good mooorning! Ah, I'm nervous... Oh, right, this. Grandpa said I need to give it to you... He said something like if I don't give it to you, we can't get married. What exactly does he mean? Ah, anyway, I'd like you to take it.
("Of course, thank you")
Gray: W-well then, let's go! To the wedding ceremony. Even though it's just Grandpa there...
(After the wedding ceremony. You and Gray are at your house.)
Gray: From now on, I'll be living here... Grandpa? He'll be fine. He seems to like living by himself. Though I'm sure he's a little lonely.
(The scene then cuts to the area where Ellen and the Mayor's houses are. Saibara is walking by Ellen's house.)
Saibara: ..........
Ellen: Oh, Saibara. Long time no see.
Saibara: H... Hello.
Ellen: If you'd like to, you may come in.
Saibara: Ah, ah... No, I... Um... Okay.
(Inside the house.)
Ellen: Well, congratulations.
Saibara: I'm a bit embarrassed... he's still so young and immature...
Ellen: Hehehe.
Saibara: But...
Ellen: But?
Saibara: He was the one who saved [Name] at the ocean, even though he didn't know who she was. I knew he'd probably marry her after that
Ellen: Oh, wow! That is quite a nice story!
Saibara: I'm a bit jealous of Gray for being a married man... I complained about him so much when he was with me, I should have told him...
Ellen: Told him what?
Saibara: It's nothing.
Ellen: But, hehe. Gray is a lot like you when you were younger.
Saibara: ...... T-that.... No matter what I say...
Ellen: Hehehehe.
(Back at your farm.)
Gray: [Name], by the way, I... No, no.... Um, nevermind. I promise to do my best, now and forever.

Kai's Ending

Kai: Yo!! Oh, right. I wanted to give this to you. Here you are!
("Of course, thank you")
Kai: And, um... I'm sorry to ask this of you, but... I don't want to have the wedding ceremony at my hometown. Everyone would make such a big deal about it. So, let's go to the church here. Carter is waiting.
(After the wedding ceremony, at the beach. You've apparently forgotten something, and need to go back to get it.)
Kai: OK, I'll wait here for you. ......(he looks very happy, like he can't believe he just got married)
Duke: (walks up)...Hey.
Kai: What do you want?!
Duke: I heard that you're not coming back anymore.
Kai: Oh, can't you think about something else already?!
Duke: This is sudden, but... I've decided that you're not really all that bad of a guy. After all, Zack just told me you were the one who saved [Name]'s life when she washed up on the shore.
(As Duke is speaking, you return, and a question mark appears over your head.)
Kai: (mumbling) ... or something?
Duke: Huh? What?
Kai: Are you stupid or something?! What do you mean, 'what?' My viewpoint of you hasn't changed. You've hated me up until now, you were always scolding me, weren't you! Ah... You're just like my father...
(You walk up to Kai right then.)
Kai: [Name]... Was I the one who saved you? Yeah, but even though you didn't know that, you fell in love with me anyway!
Duke: ...Sorry...
Kai: We... might come again.
Duke: ...Eh?
Kai: You know... to sightsee. Well, shall we go?
(You and Kai walk to the ship. Duke is left alone on the Beach.)
Duke: I'll be waiting for you! You'd better come back!!

Rick's Ending

Rick: Hi, [Name], good morning... I've... come to make a formal proposal to you... This... Please take it!!
("Of course, thank you.")
Rick: You've made me so happy!
(After the wedding ceremony, at the Poultry Farm.)
Rick: We have Chickens here, and grow Corn in the Summer. It's smaller than your farm, though... You know... You know, I've liked you ever since the moment I met you. ...No, you wouldn't remember, since you were unconscious at the time...
Lillia: (Comes out through the front door of the farm, and calls to you) Rick, [name]-chan!
(You and Rick run to her, and Rick goes inside the house. You talk with Lillia for a moment, nod, and head into the house. Your new home.)
